![]() ![]() These programs have been thoughtfully developed to emphasise industry practices and incorporate work requirements, allowing learners to apply theoretical concepts to real-life situations in their workplace. Shri Venkateshwara University has recently launched the engineering courses which allows working professionals to continue their education in engineering along with their job through part-time engineering programs. The new education policy announced by MOE strongly advocates for designing learning pedagogies for School Of Engineering in collaboration with industry, which must be work-integrated so that students are prepared for employment upon completion of their program. To bridge the gap between academia and industry needs, engineering education through University-Industry collaborations is the only way forward. To achieve this, pedagogy needs to evolve towards a more experiential, holistic, integrated, inquiry-driven, discovery-oriented, learner-centred, discussion-based, flexible, and enjoyable approach. ![]() In light of these changes, education must shift its focus away from rote memorization of content and towards teaching critical thinking and problem-solving skills, fostering creativity and multidisciplinary thinking, and developing the ability to innovate, adapt, and learn new information in constantly evolving fields. On the other hand, the demand for proficient workers with expertise in mathematics, computer science, and data science, as well as a diverse skill set encompassing various disciplines across the sciences, social sciences, and humanities, is expected to escalate significantly. The emergence of various groundbreaking scientific and technological innovations has the potential to displace untrained jobs globally. The knowledge landscape of the world is experiencing swift transformations. ![]()
